• Why did you focus on the health niche?
  

  I have been a full time health professional for 12 years, and it continues to remain my primary job and source of income. I started working with affiliate marketing a few years ago, and naturally gravitated towards an industry that I'm familiar with.

• Why did you start this website?

  When I was first starting out with affiliate marketing, the training I had didn't explain the concept of competition and long tail marketing very well. Maybe it was just me, but it literally took a year and a half for those ideas to sink in.

  Because of that, I though I'd create a website that was specifically tailored to the health niche, since it's a high competition industry online, yet one with a lot of potential.

• Are you saying I shouldn't start a health website?

  Absolutely not! I'm saying that you should be very careful about how you plan to launch the site and start earning money as quickly as possible. Don't try to build the next big diet site, or the next big yoga site, especially if you're just starting out.

  Focus on something small, see success, and then scale up from there.

• How do I know if my niche has a lot of competition?

  This is still a tough one to figure out if you're just starting. In general, the broader the topic, the more competition there is, but there are also very competitive products out there that you wouldn't think would have high competition.

  To get a good judge of it, I recommend you look at the other sites that are ranking well for your topic. How professional are they? Are they small 20-page websites you could probably build, or giant industry leaders with thousands upon thousands of articles?

• Did you use an affiliate course when you first started?

• What Affiliate Products do you promote for Health companies?

  Wow...a lot! My best recommendation would be to check out this list or there's a great program by Market Health Affiliate Network.
